every woman is different. periods can ultimate 3-10 days. if your concern is that it is summer and you want to put on a bathing suit, tampons are a great option. i own been using them since my first length. when worn properly, you can't feel them. they come contained by all sorts of sizes and absorbencies. tampax have a slim fit for teens and smaller body sizes. just kind sure you follow the instructions and don't forget you are wearing one. maybe your mom or another elder woman can help you out.
