Answer:
You need to see a doctor. We are not doctors. Even if we were doctors, we have no way of examining you or asking the appropriate questions. We are amateurs and volunteers. Is there some reason you are reluctant to see someone who can really help you?

One more time, please listen carefully. This condition may be serious. We have nothing other than our own experience. Please see a doctor.
stress and illness can cause a change in your periods. the only way to find out what is going on is to see your doctor mate.
I know this can happen if you are under a great deal of stress. But I suggest that you actually do get up and visit your OBGYN to get a proper examination.
Well if you are willing to trust ByeDr.com, maybe you should go to the psychiatrist if you don't want to go to the GP.
It's just a hormonal imbalance. Happened to me, every other week I had one for 6 months, took progesterone (hormone from my OBGYN) and it fixed itself. Stress can cause it, too.

A woman's period can be irregular into her 20s. That said, I would go to your gynecologist - it's the only thing that will give you peace of mind.
If I were you, I would be making a trip to the doctor, rather than accepting internet advice. There are medications that can correct this problem, so the sooner you see the doc the better. Good luck.
This sort of questions should be consulted with doctor and go with his advise.
well my mom is a nurse
you never stated your age and after having your period for a couple of years it regulates its self out. by not having your period either 28 days or close to it (not eveyone is the same) your not getting the linning of your uterus to normally flow out of you. and there you can get hurt from not to menchion after not having your pewriod you gain whieght from retaing water. i think the next time your in the docotr office bring it up. try not to be shy about it (believe me i am because he is a dude) because it is there job and it does stay confindental! i hope this helps
Do you suffer from Hayfever ? Do you take Cetrizine or any other summer pill..? that together with any drastic/stressful life events that you have recently incurred may be a factor in your cycle being out.. However.. it could be a lot more serious - I would urge you to visit your GP or call NHS direct (if your in the UK) . asap.
If i were a doctor i would be saying this "GO SEE A DOCTOR and oh don't forget to pay me" lol kidding. But yes your problem seems a lil different. Nothing to be scared of, before you can find out whats happening to your body , you need some checkups. And check can only be done by professional Doctors who wants your money..hahaha..Uhem..sorry!! I didnot mean to offend the Docs. Just take my advice, go see a doctor who is expert on female reproductive system. I suggest you see a female doctor.
get a pregnancy test and be definite about pregnancy.
If you are just irregular and you know your not pregnant then I wouldn't worry. Have you flown anywhere recently. There are 2 nurses here who are both affected by flying. Stress will also muck you around, either skipping or coming on too soon. See if it sorts itself out. If your still like this next month, I'd go see a doctor. There are loads of other contraceptive pills and methods that could help too.
If you want a doctors opinion honey then go and see your own GP. You will only get guesses on here. The thing is your doctor has your medical notes and history in front of him/her and they know what your body is like better than anyone here can. It could be just a blip in the hormones but see your own GP to tell you for sure. If it is a blip then you can do something about that! I had a 10 min session of reflexology and mine was put put right in an instant and i had suffered for three years!
I think it's best you just go and speak to your doctor.
any change in your routine such as exercise, increased stress could be the thing that caused the sshift wait another week or so and if anything weird happens go to the doctor just to be sure your alright
your period does not happen on the same date every month
it changes
have you become pregnant
mabye thats why
As some of the others have said stress will cause hormone imbalance and this can lead to irregular periobds which are on this list

Miriam wrote her story in 1997 and revised it in 2002.

Stress --> Hormone Imbalance --> "Health Issue"

You may wish to do the on line hormone tests at www.hormoneprofile.com or www.johnleemd.com

If as I suspect they recommend you obtain hormones please have a saliva test done see www.npis.info or www.salivatest.com. A saliva test will check out active hormones something that blood tests do not.

If a hormone is suggested by the saliva test please take the dose suggested. Size 10 shoes are not twice as good if you have size 5 feet.

The WHO (World Health Organisation) uses saliva tests.

A transcript of a John Lee talk http://www.keepsmilin.com/transcriptdrle...

I have transcribed John Lee's December 2002 & &June 2003 talks
http://uk.geocities.com/willim_walker@bt...

Any of these talks explain why for active hormone levels a blood test is worthless. Blood tests find hormones, but they are the ones on their way out of the body. They are not the active hormones.

Search the web for "natural progesterone period regular" and you will find many pages

e.g.
http://www.natural-progesterone-advisory...

However I would rely on a saliva test to confirm the requirement for progesterone or any other hormones.

There is a list of doctors at www.npis.info who are aware of the benefits of natural progesterone they may be more helpful than your GP. Maybe you are about to educate your GP before using the hormones.

In countries other than the UK there are doctors knowledgeable about natural progesterone and other hormones

Natural progesterone means natural to humans i.e. identical to that produced by the human body.

For a good explanation of how vital natural progesterone is to humans see
http://www.hormoneprofile.com/howhormone...
and other pages on this site

Wild yam is that Wild Yam the body will not convert it to progesterone. Also do not take fake/synthetic progesterone/progestins manufactured by the drug companies they will be of NO benefit.

After having done a saliva test any progesterone you buy must be natural progesterone USP. USP means United States Pharmacopoeia.

If you skip to the end of http://uk.geocities.com/willim_walker@bt... there is a good summary -- 22 Susan Aschoff - St Petersburg Times Summary

When your hormone balance is restored you''ll be OK
