Eat a banana. Seriously. It works.
i dont know about sitting positions, but advil might give support to. also, midol will work well. embezzle a hot bath, or put a heat pad on the cramped spot. i also hear eating bananas work, it doesnt for me but for others it does. i know how you surface because im going through the same piece right now :(
Girl I pray that you dont enjoy cramps like I do. Because if you do in attendance isnt much you can do. I get them so doomed to failure Ive thrown up and passed out. But they had to bequeath me prescription pain meds for them. So walk to the dr. Also a heating wad, wearing pads instead of tampons, sometimes walking help. Good luck!
I used to get awful cramps! I couldn't even walk, dance to school, etc. I have GI problems along with my period, like nausea, vomiting, intestinal cramping, and bloating. Also greatly of faintness, and sometimes headache. I suffered through them for a few years before discussion to the doc, and now I don't receive them as bad anymore, plus I don't enjoy as heavy of a flow as past. My doc put me on Ponstel (mefenamic acid), a strong prescription painkiller, and I swear by it. You singular have to use it for the first two or three days. It is more or less $1/pill and I use about 8-10 pills/period, so it's not that pricy. As your doc give or take a few it, maybe it could be right for you too.
You could try Pamprin or Aleve, which are OTC drugs that you can find contained by any drugstore. But they stop working after you use them for a long time so I STRONGLY suggest going to your doctor, you don't need to suffer through this! Go very soon, because they tend to get worse and worse, especially within girls who get their term early. Good luck, contact me if you involve more info!
I agree Ponstel works wonders but where I am it is markedly expensive. Its about 120 dollars for 30 pills.
I believe why the soul up above my answer, said to eat a banana is because bananas hold potassium in them and potassium is certain to help relieve cramping. Although I don't believe its impressively effective contained by all associates.
I use Therma Care heat pad...they work better than any of the other brands of disposable menstrual heat pad that I have used. You apply them between your underwear and skin, the cement side sticks to your underwear and the pad touches your skin, it will provide temperature to your abdomen adjectives day long and it really relieves the dull pain. I suffer from cysts which can often trademark my cramping much more severe, but ThermaCare really helps...check them out:

Also, a week until that time you expect your period switch on taking a medication that is an NSAID which stands for: Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drug - are drugs that run down inflammation, cramping, and fever. Which can adjectives occur during that time of the month. Medicines resembling Advil and Motrin are NSAIDS. I highly suggest Liquid Advil capsils, it absorb into the body quicker and if you begin taking it a week until that time you expect your period, it will greatly fall inflammation, so by the time your period hits, you will be much smaller amount likely to hold as severe cramps.
