Can you hold Hypothyroidism and hold typical exam results?

I'd swear I have hypothyroidism, but my labs other come back regular range. Should I see and endocrinologist anyway? Or would that be a spend of time/money?

Answer:
Yes, they can, especially if all be done was a TSH and if it be done the wron time of day. I swore I have a thyroid problem and asked for testing. All they did be a TSH and they tested me in the afternoon. Of course it come back contained by range and I be told I did not have a thyroid problem. TSH be tested again in just about 10 months when symptoms of more severe and I finally got diagnosed. TSH is a lousy trial because TSH changes throughout the afternoon and quite repeatedly it doesn't get elevated above scale until hypothyroid symptoms are severe. If possible, get another oral exam making sure to test first article in the morning. Also gain a free t3, free t4, and an antibody test. They will show more info.

Do you come about to know what your TSH was? Many doctors are in a minute saying a TSH over 2.0 shows a slowdown within the thyroid gland. in 2003, AACE lowered the TSH stock to 0.3 to 3.0, yet most labs still hold the range at 0.3 to 5.5. Because of this outdatd collection, many populace don't get the treatment until their TSH go above the 5.5.

Below are some thyrod and testing links.
In my chronological, my lab results have other been pretty correct from my explanation. When I feel really crappy and show symptoms, the results are large, when I feel dutiful they are where they should be. So likelihood are the lab results are correct. You may just hold something else going on with you. Do some research into other issues you may own, don't focus on hypothyroidism any more at least not presently. Trust me it is not something you want to have, it is a go long battle.
