referring to uterine fibroids. Can the hormones from breastfeeding cause them to grow quicker? if so, how like greased lightning? Does anyone have any experience next to this? I am breastfeeding full time, am NOT on birthcontrol and cannot get pregnant(hubby have vasectomy). I might have a fibroid but haven't have this confirmed yet. I have an ultrasound and I'm seeing my doc soon for the follow-up. I guess I'm just concerned and never get ample time at appointments
Answer:
In my case, uterine fibroids grew amazingly fast. I have a surgery in 2005 to remove 28 fibroids of size 16 weeks pregnancy but they grew subsidise just inwardly 1 year as big as size of 20 weeks pregnancy.
Now I have to appropriate another surgery to remove, may be, my whole uterus.
Not as quick as a baby surrounded by the womb. It takes several years to slowly increase. There usually are several growing at the same time. I hold seen 15 -20 contained by the same uterus. All within different size range. When they attain to an overall size of 2-3 month pregnancy you can start to feel the enlarged uterus impartially easily on abdominal exam. It take usually several years for them to get that big.
