Hi all, I've bn having my period for about 6 years now and recently(the past two months)my period has been a dark brown for about 5 to 7 days and then straight after I would get my period which is the normal red. Should I be worried about this?
My period has only jst become regular within the last 6 months.

This happens to me when I get my period; the color of the blood changes from brown to red, and usually back to brown again on the last day or two. It also started happening a good few years after it started becoming regular. I've asked my gynecologist about it and she said it wasn't a problem, so I imagine you should be fine as well. The color change is caused because brown blood is older than red blood. It's typical for women to have it during the start and end of their menstrual cycle.
