Somewhere around that time. I would not be surprised if it is a year earlier or a year later as each body grows differently... however chances are you will be with in a year or so of when your mom got it. Im not a doctor so I cant give you a definate on it... but in my experiance it seems like all of my friends started around the same age as their parents as well as I did with mine. Good luck.

Well you could... but it depends on if you think you were develpoing faster then she was like me...! I am on mine now and i just started last month. Im going into 8th grade so idk and im 13. My mom stared hers at 16 yeahh thts late but i mean it all really depend on your own spead of maturing! Good luck

no no no no! My friend's mom and older sister both got it in 6th grade. My friend and I will be entering 9th grade as 14 year olds and she has not gotten it yet. Her doctor told her that they don't worry about periods until they are 16 and still haven't gotten it.

maybe. My mom got her period when she was 13 and i got mine when i was 12. if your mom got it at a certain age chances are you will get it earlier or at the same time. My sister got hers at 13 (same age as my mom) i got it at 12 (younger then my mom) why do you ask? are you in 6th grade?
I started at the same age my mother did and so did my sister. There is a high chance you will start at the same time as your mother too. PS, it is not as horrible as you may think. My periods don't cause terrible cramps or keep me in bed all day. I can do whatever I want! It doesn't limit me in any way.
Not necessarily. I wouldn't be sure of this, because you receive genetical information from both your parents (yeah, i know your father did not have a period, but his mother and grandmother did), and even so this isn't a general rule.
