Is it safe and sound to be on Depo until menopause?
Anyway, do you deliberate this is safe?
Answer:
No I don't.
After five years you requirement a bone density check as depo royally screws near your bone health (and overall condition actually).
I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
You do hold a chance of becoming infertile after prolonged use, but that isn't 100% true for every woman. You MAY however hold to be off of depo for a few years until that time you can conceive.
I've known citizens who got pregnant on the depo, at once off the depo (after 3 years), and some who have to see a fertility specialist.
It's not recommended that you use it for longer than two years due to it decreasing your bone mass and drastically increasing your probability for osteoporosis. Talk to your doc. Aren't there any other methods of B.C. that you're likely to consider (IUDs, etc.)? GL!
Well after using Depo for about 2 years, you become infertile. So, if you plan on have kids, the doctor should take you sour about 2 years contained by advance. When I go and got my first shot finishing week, I was told that it if truth be told shouldn't be used for a long period of time because of the form risks. The bone density loss, abnormal belly pains, etc can cause problems surrounded by the future. Since you are 26 and enjoy a while to go up to that time menopause, I doubt that they would let you stay on it that long. But your GYN might disagree and consent to you stay on it. I would talk to her and take her opinion and see what happen.
