The passing gas part of the pack is normal. However, the discharge is not. Are you sure you are the lone person your guy is sleeping near? Sounds to me like he have anal sex, and when he passed gas, the cottage cheese looking discharge was someone else's ejaculation.
Passing gas is commonplace, passing anything save for gas or common bowel movements (hard/soft/liquid) would be a incentive for concern.
I've never heard of the cottage cheese discharge from a man's bottom. If it happen after sex, then it should start during a regular movement. I don't know how it would be any different.
Visiting a doctor might not be a bad notion. Might be uncomfortable for him, but better locked than sorry.
