I get the birth control shot surrounded by May.?

I know that irregular periods are ordinary, but mine lasted the entire month of June, and it doesn't look approaching it's going to stop anytime soon.

have any of you gotten the shot? how long did your period last?? will I be ok by August, (I'm getting married August 3rd)

Answer:
I've be on Depo for about 3 years. The first 9 months or so be, to be quite blunt, hell. I spotted for nearly the entire time, and my moods feel completely out of control. But I stuck it out, and my body familiar - I felt more contained by control of my emotions and my spell stopped altogether. I'd say I "spot" possibly once or twice a year now.

I would vote that it's hard to explain to whether or not you'll be "ok" by August. Each woman reacts differently to birth control - for me it be several months, for other women it was much smaller number...unfortunately the shot is a long-term remedy and can't be "stopped" like you could the pill or the ring. If you start to hold severe problems, call you doc to tell about your option. The shot is definitely not for everyone, but individually, I've come to enjoy it terrifically much.
Something isn't right. Call you doctor.
Unfortunatly Depo can have fruitless side effects. Well some women quit getting periods, lots of other woman stay on a length the whole time.

If you don't straighten out by the time of your subsequent scheduled shot I would suggest not getting it and finding other technique of bc.

Depo is also not good if you regard you may want to have a infant in the in the neighbourhood future. The shot messes beside your system so much that it takes a while for your body to return to run of the mill and able to become pregnant again.
Run away!

Don't catch the shot again. It is poison.

I did not have bleeding that total time, but I did have a together lot of negative side affects.

After researching it 1 1/2 years ago, I get OFF the shot. Several class action lawsuits against Pfizer for what this shot does to women as in good health as all the other horror stories I've hear freaked me out and I got sour the shot.

I am on Kariva now and adjectives those horrible side affects are GONE!

Please reconsider getting the shot again. Anything else is better than this shot.

Sure, not adjectives women suffer from it, but a majority do. Enough of a majority for me to get the heck rotten of it and try to strongly suggest others to not get this shot!
So heaps doctors say that 25 to 35 days middle-of-the-road. But if your periods are more than 35 you should see a doctor...

i get the depo shot and it was hell...for the 3 months, i have my period stale and on for 2 months...i also had extremely doomed to failure nausea, so i changed over to the pill and i've been regular and no discouraging side effects ever since! but you might still have it by august, depending on when you will catch your next shot or choose another type of contraception..dutiful luck!
I defintely wouldn't get any more shots! Hard to vote if you'll be okay in time for your marriage. I'd call your Doc and explain the situation, conceivably he or she can prescibe something to get you stopped. Losing that much blood can't be on top form.
I am firmly against the shot under any circumstances! My daughter took it for two years, and have to get dentures at 25! I shudder to come up with what kind of shape her bones are contained by.
Call your doctor asap, and figure out a better birth control resort. My daughter has a Mirena IUD very soon, and is quite satisfied with it. If you don't intend to start a relations for at least 5 years, it's an just what the doctor ordered solution. A shorter term solution might be the pill, diaphram, or adjectives sorts of other options. Good luck!
i get the shot may 24 and have be spotting ever since;
i've had headache everyday, and have be feeling humane down with mood swings! Getting the shot be a BIG mistake! Aug can not get here hastily enough. I've have it before and i find back to everyday that same month.

Good luck!
