Women usually do this for bikini weather or wearing short shorts, trust me it grows rear legs pretty itchy and uncomfy, hey if you guys have a biddable relationship ask her can't hurt...
i wouldnt be offended but im not your gf. what you should do is try to compromise. ask her if she would be prepared to keep it shortly trimmed to some extent than completely shaved. if shes not willing to do that any get used to the stubble or seize a new gf

I used to shave mine for copious years. I liked it that road. One day I be having a conversation give or take a few it with my husband and he said he preferred it "full bush".
