Actually this exact thing happen to me when I took it, what I found was if the nurse who did the injection did not rub the spot pretty upright after the injection it itched and burned a bit but if they rubbed it good after the injection it didn't. So try rubbing the spot correct to distribute the solution into the muscle well and not purely stuck in one spot to be immersed by the muscle. Good luck.
Oh also, it could be an allergic reaction to the sterile wad they wipe the arm with for the shot or it could even be an allergic hostile response to the tape they use to hold the cotton orb in place afterward.

Everyone has different reaction to stuff, but I had a HORRIBLE allergic reaction to that shot. I was moodier than I've EVER be. I was so touching and would cry over the studpidest things. I'm really not like that at adjectives. My other reactions to it be a bit gross, so stop reading if your squemish. I spotted for a couple of months and then the interval I had when I come off of the shot be the heaviest of my life! I thought I be hemmoraging and was going to die. In similar to only an hour or two it completely soaked through a wipe and filled up these khaki pant with blood almost down to my knees. I have a dark, long coat on and be sitting at my desk at work and had reasonably a shock when I went to the bathroom. I be so scared and didn't know WHAT be happening. I be the only woman here that day too and solitary 18 or 19 years old. I concluded up surviving the Depo provera shot in the downfall, but NEVER again!
