your period conceivably changing it happen, if your on the any birth control this could be the cause of your shorter period. if your seriously concerned talk to your gyno to serve you figure whats going on.
Since you don't own a gyno then I assume you need to find one or confer to your regular doctor. As for your mom she might know what going on she is another woman and knows what you are going through. Sometimes we focus that our parents are going to freak but at least they know something is up and can aid you get the abet you need. If your sexually alive you should be seeing a gyno now and getting regular pap smear, also basically try and tell your mom that you own something important to report her and you need her not to freak out .
