What's menopause?
Answer:
Menopause is when your ovaries stop producing hormones that regulate and cause your menstrual cycle. I am 43 and have already started menopause. My OBGYN told me that a good determining factor is when you mother reached menopause. My mother was in her late 40's. When the ovaries stop producing the hormones your menstrual cycle will stop. Not always immediately. Some people skip a period have one then they come further and further apart until they stop altogether. You can have symptoms with menopause. Hot flashes, mood swings and the like. My doctor suggested that I try Black Cohosh for my hot flashes as hormone replacement therapy has been shown to have side effects. It has worked wonderfully for me! You can get it over the counter at Walgreens, GNC, etc. Good luck!
