I have been on nuvaring now for two months! No problems or anything so far! I do have a question. I have been reading on drugs and different things to avoid with the nuvaring birthcontrol and the lists have said caffeine in the list to avoid that could alter it! So i went to a herb store and have got water weight pills and they have all natural stuff in them, plus the dang caffeine! The lady said they were safe with birthcontrol! I took out my nuvaring to get my period on tuesday and i have not had it yet! I know i still have some more days for it to come and all, but i worried that i could be pregnant from the water weight pills with the caffeine altering with the birthcontrol! My husband and i always use condoms when we have intercourse everytime cause we don't want to chance having a baby now! I just want your peoples opinions on this please i am kind of worried about it thanks!

i have worked for an ob/gyn x 5 yrs and have never heard anything about caffeine and birth control.
caffeine is a drug and needs to be limited anyways..
anti biotics interfere w/ birth control but ive never heard anything about caffeine
i swear by nuvaring and i swear by dunkin donuts iced coffee. you're fine, its just the caffiene needs to be used in moderation, like anything else you put in your body.
