Can Sprintec(birthcontrol) cause miscarriage if taken while pregnant?

My friend doesnt know if she is pregnant or not.
She has the signs and symptoms but she has taken 2 pregnancy tests and they have said negative.
If she starts taking her birthcontrol again and she is pregnant will she lose the baby?

Answer:
there is no current evidence to prove that it can cause a miscarriage, but it is recommended that women who become pregnant get off of bc once they find out (1. its not needed anymore if she's pregnant 2. better safe than sorry, since the evidence is a little inconclusive...). if she hasnt take a blood pregnancy test, she should do that (most accurate 2 weeks after a missed period) and if its negative then continue taking bc.
Hi, Have her see her doctor for a blood test this will tell her if she is. Tell her not to take any kind of birth control until she knows for sure one way or another,JUST TO BE SAFE!
A Friend.
