Birth control side effects?
Answer:
You can talk to your doctor if it worries you, but if you're sure there's no way you're pregnant, then what you're experiencing is definitely normal. When I was on birth control, I didn't have a period for 7 months and it was wonderful. The hormones in the pill stop your body from building up blood and tissue in your uterus during your cycle, so you aren't storing up a massive amount of blood by not having your period. It's recommended that you have a period at least once every three months, so your doctor may want to switch your pill if you miss a third period.
You or your mother might want to call your doctor's office and ask if this is normal with this brand of pill. The dr. might want to try a different brand if this one is making you miss your period altogether.
When you are on the pill, you miss your cylce sometimes. If you are concerned, then talk to your mom about this, doctor, teacher, or a trusted adult.
Hope this helps and all goes well!
