How did YOU ask??

How did you ask your "significant other" to get tested for STI's/HIV? Did you simply flat out come out with it? It's not that I am afraid to or strung-up about it... but I'm patently curious about how he's going to nick it. I've been seeing him since in the region of this past August, and though we haven't gotten that intimate as nonetheless, (though several times he's initiated it, which I've rejected because I'm genuinely not ready) it's bound to ensue contained by the next couple of months.

I enjoy a doctors appt. coming up this week, and I intend to be tested for everything, and to get a photocopy of my results to show him.. so I'm thinking of recitation him this, then cooly suggesting he do equal.

Have any of you had distrustful reactions near this type of thing? How would you turn about it?

Overlooking his STI test is NOT an option. Ignorance ain't that bliss...

Answers:    Tell him that you are getting tested and you would similar to him to do the same that path you are both safe and can be organized for the next stratum of your relationship.
just be close to "hey boyfriend, love ya and all but i'd resembling you to get tested past we have sex" hopefully he'll be fine beside it and understand why you want that. if he doesnt follow just explain it to him, your looking out for your form.
