What can be other reasons for delayed periods except pregnancy?
Answer:
Stress, bad diet, but most importantly, you really should seek some advice, if you cant face a male GP, there alternatives, the nurses will start the ball rolling, go have a chat, you KNOW this makes sense, you are probably worrying about nothing, fearing nothing, but a simple remedy. Remember if it doubt sort it out x.
Stress
maybe stress?
Stress, malnourishment, "ghost" pregnancy, weight loss/gain.
There could be an underlying reason for this, not the least worry is menopause. Could be an over or underactive thyroid, hormone imbalance. There's a different number of possibilities, only a doctor and tests can determine what's going on. Mine did that and I had an ovarian cyst that was as huge as a 4 month fetus.
A lot of factors could come into play. It could be stress as the others have stated. Have you recently started a new excersize program? also your hormones change from time to time. I would make an appt with the gyn and tell him/or the nurse practitioner that you would like to have blood work or pap to rule out any health issues.
good luck to you.
early menopause is more common than you think.
or it could be a hormone imbalance, thyroid problem, it could be stress or sickness.
you need a full medical check up.
Menopause seems to happen earlier for some so although you may not feel you are ready, get yourself checked.
Lack of periods can be down to emotional stress or even extreme loss of weight. Get it checked anyway.
stress, poor/unusual diet or sudden changes, illness ie sickness, hormone changes in the body, use of morning after and or contraceptive pills, weight gain/loss, medical conditions, puberty (if u r really young) and a few other things i guess.
Hi
Are you taking contraceptives? As certain types will stop your bleeding. Otherwise you may be pregnant.
I am not sure what you mean by discharge flows, but if you have always been regular before it is best to get your GP to check you out as any changes to your cycle should be investigated.
Stress and weight loss may mean a missed period, some women may also miss an ovulation on occassion.
Oh and if your Mum or other close females had a early menopause, you need to rule this out as a cause.
Stress is normally related to late periods - it can be as long as 2 weeks before it arrives - if it takes longer consult your GP for advice.
A change in diet or contraceptive pill could be the answer - but for now don't be too worried.
Also - if you do see your GP make sure that you have done a pregnancy test beforehand as it will be the first question they ask.
