GIRLS! Please help me!!!?

I've just started my period. How long are you supposed to leave a pad on? How often do u change it? I use always ultra if thats any help!

Answer:
You have a big pad, that should last a good long time. Try and relax. Getting emotional can make it heavier and increase the likelihood you'll get cramps. It'll be all right. If you get thirsty, drinking liquids can make it flow more and make it heavier, so just try and pay attention to what you're doing. Beware of soup and salty foods, the salt can plug you up and give you cramps. Craving, yearning being a bit emotional are all typical stuff for this episode. When it tapers off, you should calm down and feel like yourself again.
When I've used up a pad it leaks and has the potential to get on my outerwear. It is definitely time to change. If you're heavy you might just want to keep checking once every hour. As long as everything else stays dry you are doing just fine.
I am heavy and I use a regular pad for one whole day for my first two days, then I go in off-again-on-again spurts for the next couple of days. I go to a panty liner after that until I stop spotting.
whenever it gets full change it
Well you want to change it every few hours if it is soaked. Just depends on your flow. If you leave it on it can start to smell or be really wet. Try using tampons they are very clean and do not produce an odor.
Hey,well you usually leave it on all the time during your period, except wen you take a bath or a shower. You just change it wen its full,or whenever you feel you need to.
i say change it twice a day or when it get full depends on how much you bleed
Change it as often as you like. Don't let it get full and no more than 4-6 hours depending on your flow, you don't want it to get stinky.
well i haven't started yet but i was supposed to a while ago :( but i know all the stuff 4 when it happens so change the pad when they get full..or until its really uncomfortable, it probably will be the first few months..hey will u email me and let me know when you know if your starting or not??HELP
You're growing up! Congratulations. Change your pad every 4 to 6 hours depending on how heavily soiled it becomes or if you feel uncomfortable from wetness. Wash your hands before and after. To ensure freshness, you may want to change after urinating. Sometimes odor occurs when the pad is separated from your skin and air hits it. It depends on your own comfort level.
Change it every few hours, but it really depends on your flow. If you are a heavy flow, you change it more frequently. If you are a moderate flow, you can change it a little bit less, so on and so forth.
you are not supposed to leave it on longer than 4 hours but when mine gets full i change it b/c i thiks its nasty not to change it
ok well it def depends on heavy your bleeding so change it when your pad gets full but people change their pads at different times like sum might change cuz they had it on for 2 hours but it isnt full so wateva one works best ok
When it gets full you change it but dont let it get to full it can leak then youll have problems. I change mine every hour sometimes sooner just depends on my flow of blood. Tampons you can wear a lot longer then a pad.
Change it every 4 hours...till its full. Pads are expensive.
Just wear a pad till you are done with your period.
till it gets a lot of blood on it
i change mine every 2 hours but it depends how heavy or light it is
Hello

Well I like to change mine everytime I go to the bathroom even though it's not that full, just makes me feel a lot better knowing that I have a fresh one on. Although towards the end of my period gets really light so I don't change it everytime I got to the bathroom. I hope this helps and welcome to women hood
welcome to the world young lady!
there's no prescribed time for you to leave it on. it depends on how heavy your flow is. when you don't feel comfortable anymore then it's time for you to change your pad. the average though is changing it after 4 hours. that way you wouldn't be too late that you'd have sideleeks already coz it's not too full, and it's not too early either that you'd be wasting your pad coz it's still new.
When i use to wear pads I would change them every time i felt wet. But now i wear tampons and their so much more comfortable and a lot more cleaner then pads. And just to let you know you will be able to tell when your getting ready to start your period again by your stomach will be killing you trust me I've felt like that all day and I started. But I'm use to it because I've had mine since i was 10.
well you change it when ever you feel like its full I'd say about change it every 4-6 hours depending on your flow though and ultra its not always the way to go depending on your flow
well it depends if your having a heavy period or light period.. heavy is when alot of blood is coming out.. light is when only a little of blood is coming out. you supposed to keep a pad on for about 3 to 4 hours.. but its totaly on you.. if you want to change anytime then you can change your pad anytime..
