Why do my ankles swell up?

Im 49 yr old woman. lone recently starting to see my ankles swell up surrounded by the evenings, Im on my feet for 6 hours a time. come home go on computer for a while, after ankles swell up.

Answer:
Despite previous comments. A little bit of ankle swelling is normal. When you totter your leg muscles help pump the blood rear up your legs because they are contracting. When you are at rest and sitting, less blood is pumped stern up and this indirectly causes your ankles to swell.

If you perceive okay don't bother your doctor. If you feel breathless, walk and see him.
You are retaining water and probably enjoy high blood pressure. The two be in motion hand surrounded by hand. Lower your brackish intake and be sure to drink eight glasses of marine or herbal tea daily. If that doesn't form the problem go away, see the doctor for a diuretic. I don't retain dampen in the ankles, but within my calves. Drinking the water, and drinking less saline has worked wonders for me.
ankles swollen usually system poor blood circulation. u should see a doctor
The most common motive for ankle swelling is poor circulation. There are things you can do at home to help. For example: Prop up your foot, this helps your heart pump blood to your ankles and get the circulation going again, Also try to stay away from salty foods, this could be a factor, and try giving your legs and ankles a upright rub down after work with or minus lotion. If this persist it may be best to consult a doctor, or try and over the counter diuretic. Be sure to wear well brought-up supportive shoes at work.
...Also note that it could be an indication of something more serious (including kidney problems). Talking to your physician going on for it is a good conception. Between low blood circulation and symptoms of kidney failure as adjectives causes of swelling surrounded by the legs... The sooner you can see the doctor, the better.

Though in any case increased hydration is vital, if the swelling is because you're dehydrated reducing your brackish intake may not be the best idea.

I antipathy to put a number especially "of glasses" on what people want because it does vary so much. What you entail to keep surrounded by mind is that a lot of food within busy daily go doesn't replace as much water as we might similar to so you'll want to increase your liquid intake that much more if you're ingestion dryer foods during the day.

The genuine idea is that you involve to replace all the solution your body loses. (Through breathing, urination, sweating etc)

If you are dehydrated (which sounds close to the case) you will need to do more than simply replace the water-loss and also supplement it.

You might try a re-hydration mixture used assist dehydration cases;

Mix an oral re-hydration solution using the following recipe: To 1 quart or liter of drinking water or boiled wet, add the following:

2 tablespoons sugar or honey

1/4 teaspoon brackish

1/4 teaspoon baking soda (bicarbonate of soda).

Notes: If baking soda is not available, add another 1/4 teaspoon of saline. If possible, add 1/2 cup red juice or some mash banana to improve the penchant and provide some potassium.

The reason for the mixture is that along beside the fluid loss, your body also loses electrolytes, which are salts as a rule found in blood, other fluids, and cell.

Symptoms of early or mild dehydration include:

flushed facade

extreme thirst

dry, warm skin

small amounts of shadowy, yellow urine

inadequacy
