I went in with no pain the only thing that was bugging me was that i couldnt raise my left foot. For insurance reasons i have to go to him first before i can make an app. with a foot doctor. He didnt take an xray at all and he automatically assumed that it was my nerve so her perscribed me on methylprednisolone which has been making MORE pain than what i had before and it didnt seem to be helping my foot any. i took the steroid for three days and decided that it was screwing me up too much so i stopped. should i try to go see a foot doctor or go back for another app with the orginal. and this doctor as been natorious for perscribing useless drugs that dont seem to help you.

definately get a second opinion. he's not helping you at all. demand a referral to the foot doc. that is your right.

I would definitely make an appointment with a food doc if you can get a referral from you primary care physician (PCP), but if not I would make an appointment with a new PCP. The reason being that methylprednisolone should in no way cause an increase in pain. In other words, your increasing pain is probably due to your foot problem getting worse, not the drug. Methylprednisolone dose have many side effects, but increased pain is not one of them.
