Info on Accelerated paramedic programs needed?

My paramedic program in Northern Virginia took 5 months to go from EMT-B to EMT-B and then another 5 months to go from EMT-I to EMT-P. That is about as fast as it can be done. Doesn't matter about your GPA. If you need more info., contact me on my 360 and I'll be glad to help. It's a fantastic job.
Most likely you will be enrolled into a standard EMT-P curriculum, which depending on the program is usually 2 to 3 semesters including your clinical time.
Unfortunately, the paramedic program will be the same length. There's not much in the paramedic program that can be eliminated based on your completed classes. Most of the paramedic training classes are stuff that a paramedic needs to know in the field, and not so much of those "general" education requirements.
Since you have a B.S. degree already, all you'd most likely need is the paramedic certificate. The shortest class you're going to be able to find is about 9-10 months of full time coursework. In addition to the classwork, you'll have to complete several hundred hours of clinical rotations at local hospitals, and at the end of class, you'll have to complete a 4 month internship with a local ambulance company. The exact requirements vary from state to state, though. Check out your state's Board of EMS for more specific info.
