Why do you acquire the "munches" when you smoke marijuana?

I've heard two theories. One, that I reflect is wrong, is that smoking marijuana lowers your blood sugar, which will make you hungry
The second one is that cannabinoid receptors within the brain (what marijuana works on) play a part within controling hunger. I agree more with this one.

You don't get hold of the 'munchies' when you are smoking marijuana. You get them after you're through smoking LOL!
Maybe you can find a botonist who'll reply on this one. There
definately is a trigger criticism, to wanting food afterward tho.
