your body sheds it's skin in stages something like once a fortnight so loose skin cells could be cause your itch by irritating the skin underneath
histamine is produced which causes you to scatch within order to capture rid of whatever is cause the problem
You can't see most of the mites that causes itching they are also present surrounded by the bed infact everywhere we go they are so minute that you can't see them by the nude eye.
