When i quit smoking I made a chronicle of all the reason I wanted to quit. I kept that roll in my pocket and everytime I needed to smoke, would take it out and read it. Carrots are also a obedient snack.

Hiya, I feel your strain! Quit smoking after 7 years two weeks ago, cold turkey too! I've found drinking tea and keeping my hands busy (making bread and knit!) have really help. I'm still desparate for a ciggie but the main entry that is keeping me from not starting up again is the reality that my family and friends are really proud of me and I dont want to consent to them down.
i would drink as much water as possible, economically about a gallon a daytime should do it....dont carry around lighters anymore, drink some hot tea when you go and get a craving, keep yourself really busy, so that you dont even enjoy time to think nearly it..i have purely very only just quit too, and its been lone 11 days, but i already feel great, something that really help me, is doing magic tricks next to playing cards, it keeps my hand busy,....i hope at least slice of this answer helps.its tough i know, but keep hold of it up, the longer you go lacking a cig, the easier it gets....oh, and correct for you to quit, good concept...
You will never 'forget' nicotine addiction is worse than alcohol and crack for getting you hooked'. Cold turkey is hard, Patches and Gum do give support to as long as you remember it's still up to you. Keep an old ashtray and enjoy a sniff of that when you fancy one...
