Drug Testing for employment at hospital?

I am starting an externship at a hospital. They did my background check and want me tomorrow for orientation. They gave me paperwork...nobody has mentioned doing a drug test. Would they have notified in some way? Or could they spring one on me in orientation? Any ideas?

They can do random drug tests without notifying you in advance. That way they get more accurate results.
They could. Just GET OFF THE CRAP and then you won't have to worry, NEXT TIME.
yes alot of employers do random unannounced drug testing. they could "spring" it on you...a good way not to get caught.DONT DO DRUGS. why would i want someone that uses drugs and afraid of drug tests working on ME in a hospital.
Chances are they will within 2 weeks of you starting. Some place's give it at orientation or a couple days after. Some wait until you are comfortable they bring it in. If it is a hospital then you will probably end up having random drug tests. If you are worried about it, maybe this shouldn't be your field or you should find another way to get pleasure.
Please let me know if you get the job, and what hospital you are working in, so I can never go there.
