Do I have normal TSH?
Mine is 2.703 so is that normal under the above standards
Answer:
2.703 is in the normal range, but if you have symptoms it may not be normal for you.
If you have symptoms continue to see doctors and have your thyroid function tested periodically.
t's almost four years since it is established that the new, narrower TSH normal range of 0.3 to 3.0 is a more accurate one, and is recommended to become the standard of practice. Yet, the dithering continues. Some doctors use the new range for diagnosis and therapeutic management -- others refuse to consider anything unless it's marked "High" or "Low" on laboratory reports.
But even with 0.5-5.0, yours would be considered in normal TSH range
depends on how you feel, you could be subclinical if you have issues...
also, you need to have the free t4 and free t3 ck'd if you suspect a problem as these are better indicators of thyroid function.
each person is different and some feel fine with a tsh like that, i for one would not...so treatment would have to be individualized.
