Can Potassium help with shaky hands?

My hands have a little shake to them and I have had my doctor check them and he doesn't think anything serious is going. A friend of mine told me that taking Potassium may help stop the shaking. Is there any truth to this?

Answer:
Potassium is more likely to help with cramps in your calves in the legs.

If it is the DTs (delirium triemens) from too much alcohol (withdrawal symptoms) which causes a magnesium deficiency then you need extra magnesium.

Even if the DTs is not the cause because you either don't drink at all or perhaps only in moderation then it could still be a magnesium deficiency so a magnesium supplement may still be the answer as a lack of magnesium can cause shaky hands.
