In most places, you can never get through to them on the phone a short time ago because they have so abundant calls coming surrounded by. You should be able to totter in, plague out an application and leave it next to them. They might make you an appointment for then after they have reviewed your app, or they might review it first and next call you to come within.
No it is not hard to apply but it is a process. you enjoy to show all your expenses and income. But if you do not crash down into the guidelines, some states have programs for relations that are cheaper than other. Like in PA its call blue chip I believe. At our local welfare office you do not obligation an appointment, but sometimes better to go when they first undo in the morning to speed up your dawdle. First come first serve in PA
That is what I did. Be sure to bring stuff near you like ID, utility and phone bills, proof of income, proof of rent/residency, wall statements. If you don't have it near you, you can still apply, but you'll have to e-mail that stuff in anyway. May want to bring a friend. I don't know where on earth you are from, but there are some questionable nation at the health and human services department here. I had a babe at 17 too, check out WIC, they can be helpful also! Best wishes!
