Most ancestors don't smoke cigars as an addiction either, they smoke it more for bliss and only on occurrence. Cigarette smokers smoke because their body needs the nicotine to function properly, cigar smokers smoke for the flavor.
They are equal because they both contain equal amounts of tobacco and the many hundreds of insanitary chemicals.

Cigars, because you don't inhale cigar smoke (you just puff), but beside cigarettes, you actually suck the smoke down into your throat and lungs. People also don't smoke cigars as regularly as they smoke cigarettes. Cigars are not as addictive because you don't actually inhale the smoke.
