The hubby and me have be ttc for literally one month, i.e my last time of year was around the 16th of June and we started trying as soon as it be over. I am due on again around next monday. I enjoy been have quite a few symptoms, for example extreme tiredness and sore boobs so we established to get a hpt. We used First Response because obvioulsy I am not unsettled or anything yet. It showed positve. The box say that it detects hormone levels typical of pregnancy surrounded by 69% of women four days before their expected time of year and it is now almost 5 days before mine. The box also say that if it shows negative visibly you may not be pregnant or you have not get enough pregancy hormone even so , but it doesn't mention anything about false positives. Is this possible?
I know I should linger until next week when I should enjoy my period, I of late wondered if anyone else has be in a similar situation.
Thank you xx
Answer:
A hormonal pregnancy trial detects a hormone that is merely released by the body when pregnant. It's possible to have a false cynical whereby the levels of this hormone ( can't for the vivacity of me remember the name of it) are too low for detection, however if the check is showing positive it's because the hormone is present. There are no false positives!
Congratulations and the very best of luck
The hormone released when you conceive is call Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), and this is what reacts beside the pregnancy test to bestow you a positive result. You can get false NEGATIVES if the hormone smooth is low, but never a false positive. So congrats! Most GP's accept these as a formal form of confirmation, so you inevitability to see your midwife once you're about 10 weeks gone. Good luck and lively parenting!
