What happen at the doctors organization when?

Well i haven't been myself lately..i consider i might have depression..i did some research and i own a lot of the symptoms...Ive granted to see a doctor about it but i would resembling to know what happens...once im at the doctors bureau...will he ask me questions...i plan how will he find out if i really do have depression...and if it turns out that i am suffering from depression what happen next?

Answer:
Good that you're seeing your doctor to ask roughly what you've been experiencing. He will indeed ask you question - doesn't take particularly many - and he might prescribe a low dose of an anti-depressant resembling Paxil or Zoloft, and he'll ask you to come see him again in a month, perchance. After that, he'll assess you again and might refer you to a psychologist, psychiatrist, or neurologist.

The big issue will be whether you have depression explicitly situational or biochemical. The latter, believe it or not, is often easier to treat.

Whatever he does, ASK QUESTIONS. Don't thieve everything he says as gospel, but do listen to him.

Good luck!

[ADDED] After looking at other answers, I freshly want to add this - unless there's something you aren't describing us, your doc will NOT commit you to a hospital. That's ridiculous, given what you've described.
shut up and just turn!
Yes, he will ask you questions and afterwards most likely prescribe an antidepressant.
you detail all the things that are bothering you =the Dr will suggest you run into hospital for a week to get on a pill=it is because it take this long to get used to the pill =he will also give an account you what he thinks it is that you are suffering from =don't be afraid and suitable luck
S/He'll order blood test and suggest a therapist.
Yes, he/she will ask question and you should be very honest contained by your answers. He/she will either prescribe an anti depressant and or refer you to a psychiatric therapist. It is best that you do both.
Don't Worry He won't do anything bad similar to hurt you he might just right to be heard for you to get some anti-depression pills or somthing mabye.
He will recommend Zoloft, or another type of prescription depression pill for you.
Think of this stop by as if you were visit a close friend that you can tell anything to. The doctor is in somebody`s debt to keep ant info to him/her self. They may ask question and then only let you settle. Don't worry freshly be honest
Well, when I went, my doctor give me two questionaires - one fairly epic and one with a moment ago five "rate on a scale of five" question. He'll look them over, and talk you through them - ask you if you've thought going on for ending your go, and if you've planned specifics - encourage you that this will leave behind and you CAN get better :)

Then, he'll probably prescribe Prozac (fluoxetine) because it's the oldest drug and it works okay usually without side effects. He'll hold out to refer you to a psychiatrist, if you'd like.

They're incredibly kind and supportive - nil scary! I'm sorry you're notion down - I hope the doctors can help.
The doc will ask you question about how you are and hold been reaction, what your life is resembling in common, and what you think the problem is. If he decide that medication is right for you then he will make available you a prescription for a med. You'll also need to create an appt. for follow up - so he can see how you are doing on the medication. He may also suggest you see a therapist on a regular foundation to work on issues you might have.

If he does put you on medication - basically realize that it usually takes in the region of two weeks for the medication to reach cathartic levels - so it might run those two weeks before you really thought a difference in your mood.

Good Luck!
I would move about see my family doctor and ask for a referral to a shrink. Family doctors will ask a few questions pass a Rx for drugs and thats it.

A therapist can also councel you so that ou don't stipulation to take the drugs. Medication isn't other the answer.
If he decides you are have some sort of issue he should refer you to a mental health professional. He may try and treat the problem himself next to medication. So you will walk out near a prescription or a referral to another Dr or he will commit you and people will come and achieve you and bring you to the hospital.
He'll ask a series of questions and evaluate you on your answers and the agency you answer. Some times he recommend meds, sometimes therapy, or a combination of both.Sometimes they recommend mental or physical exercises that may assist.
your dr. should have you win a batch of blood test to rule out everything else...you should be getting a thyroid test which is push button to a lot of imbalance in the body...if everything is ruled out and you do enjoy depression...or at least your dr. does not find anything physical..consequently he should be referring you to a psychologist a therapist or a psychiatrist...the psychiatrist is just to diagnose what form of depression you have and to prescribe medication if you inevitability it...the psychologist and/or the therapist are solely for you to sit and talk to around what is going on in your existence and why you feel the road you do and what you can do to better yourself.

that's it...
A doctor will likely focus on any of the physical consequences of depression such as, sleeping traditions, body weight control, consumption habits, blood pressure, heart rate, etc. etc. etc. Doctors will not focus on psychological factor, however, she/he will likely ask you question which are associated with the physical implication of depression.
If the physical signs are present, you might be referred to a psychologist or a specialist.
He will ask you questions..that's it.
Don't verbs. You are doing the right thing. I hope you are seeing a psyciatrist and not simply a general practicioner. A psyciatrist is specialized within treating mental illness.
First he will ask you deeply of questions and do an evaluation. It's especially important that you are completely honest beside him so that he can diagnos you properly. Tell him everything, don't hold back out of shock or embarassment. They've heard and see pretty much everything. Remember he can't treat you if you aren't totally up front about ALL of your symptoms and EVERYTHING that you are consciousness and going through. The communication that you bring to the table and share with your doctor is how he will determine if you really suffer from depression, or another sickness, or maybe even zilch at all.
After he make the determination, he will thoroughly discuss your medicine option with you. He should make clear to you any possible side effects--and make sure you agree about costs next to him if you don't have insurance. Some meds for depression can be really expensive.
Hang within there. I hope something I said put your mind at straightforwardness.
Just tell him everything and he will probably only ask you more details about what your describing. He will possible ask for family history and unsurprisingly, your medical history. There is no "test" he will give you to find out if you own depression-he will just step by what you tell him and he will more than expected tell you that you own depression or anxiety or maybe both (they kinda step hand within hand sometimes) He will probably contribute you something for depression (ask for something MILD) and might advise you getting treatment.
