We used baby powder or corn starch for my son. Not to much. Just adequate to freshen it up, dry and prevent the itching!
Use a wooden skewer with cotton twisted onto the terminate of it. Put rubbing alcohol on the cotton...slide it into the cast and verbs with this until your cast/arm is verbs. Rubbing alcohol dries quickly. Just don't use too much of the alcohol. Also, it doesn't own a scent.
