I have to go through physical dream therapy for my knee as okay. For me it didn't help and I have to have arthroscopic knees surgery, but when they got within there they found that I have a torn meniscus and a plica (majorly overgrown tissue) so in adjectives actuality the physical therapy be just pinching the tissue and cause it to swell and rub up against the already torn meniscus. In your case physical dream therapy should help you strengthen your knees. If you don't start seeing an improvement, later your doctor will probably discuss a surgical alternative with you. It depends on which ligament is torn...MCL tears in actuality do quite ably conservatively. If it is the ACL, you may always enjoy some degree of carelessness, but if you can train muscles to compensate for this tear (hamstring for example) you may do okay.
