Surgery - I've had physio, exercise, painkillers and god simply knows what else and it hasn't made the blindest bit of difference! Surgery is the channel forward!

This happen to my husband when he was playing rugby... he have surgery but it still flares up from time to time and he's in agony. If it flares up, you call for to rest it. You can put cool or warm compresses on it if it help - sometimes he wants to put rime on it and it seems to comfort.
