go to nursing school, get some good skills by working in a regular hospital for a few years, try to get an entrance into a specialty unit - like the OR, CCU, ICU - and then apply to one of the travelling nurse agencies. You don't have to have a specialty - but you'll get more money and better assignments.
When you do apply - research the company and find out as much as you can about what they pay for and what they don't - you want a company that will cover moving costs, provide an apt., health insurance...Some are a little slick with what they promise and what they actually put in a contract.
