Pierced Ears... Bleeding?

I got my ears pierced about 3 months ago and everything was great with them... I did everything I was told to do for 2 months. Then I decided I was sick of my silver starter studs and put in some cheap 'nickel free' ones from wal mart. After a week and a half of wearing them, my ears were swelling and hurting. After reading the package again, it turns out they do have some nickel in them. My step mom said i needed to wear real silver or gold so I got a pair of silver ones 2 weeks ago. It was fine at first but for the past week I've noticed my ears bleeding alot when I take the earrings out (to clean them). Theres also some white-yellow junk and dried blood on the earrings. They dont hurt at all and I still put peroxide on them every other day to keep them clean... What could be wrong? I thought maybe it was just the change of earrings but it shouldnt take this long. Please help! Thanks!

Answer:
Your ears are infected. Leave the good pair in your ears at all times until a good 6 months have passed from the date you got them pierced. Also, go to the place you had them pierced and get ear solution to clean your ears. Don't use alcohol. If the infection isn't gone in a few days, you'll need to go to your doctor and get an antibiotic for your ears.
Well you've gone and infected your ears with the cheap pair. never wear that garbage for more than a day and change them before you go to bed.

Right now you need to disinfect them and let them heal. Put your studs back in an just soak your ears (daily or twice daily) with cotton balls and hydrogen peroxide...or something the earring places may recommend for you. I think alcohol will be too strong. You might have created cysts and abscesses in your ears now that will always get infected as they leave little "caves" even after they heal where bacteria will easily collect again in future.
I had the same problem when I was young. Take a piece of string and run it through the piercing holes (so they stay open) clean them twice a day with an ear solution after two weeks remove the strings and only use Surgical Steel posts. Most people outgrow this problem in a few years and can wear whatever they want so just be patient until then ok. If you have any other questions you can email me at nascar_lady_80@yahoo.com
