I don't think that anyone have created a test to determine nicotine addiction surrounded by newborns. While nicotine is a drug it does not hold the horrific effects that cocaine or heroin do.
I do know that smoking increases the risks of low birth wt., prematurity and other health problems surrounded by babies.
Not necessarily, but it's highly possible. It's best to stay away from adjectives drugs...even legal and prescription drugs...while pregnant as much as possible.
