Do you consider the dentist a doctor?

They have to shift through the first 18 months of medical school beforehand veering bad into the realm of dentistry. Do you consider dentists doctors?

Dentists are specifically doctors. They're just a different features of doctor than those with an MD level. I'm in medical university (working towards an MD), and I have a cousin who's a dentist (with a DMD degree). I know how much work we've both put into it, and she specifically deserves to be called "Doctor" lately as much as I will when I finish medical school.
