I just moved to a new town; what's the best way to find a good family doctor?

If there's any options besides asking neighbors and locals, that would be great, thanks.

Answer:
Look in the yellow pages of the phone book. There are referral agencies for Dr listed. I would call one and ask them who they recommend. Don't determine the Dr by the size of an ad though. Some of the best Dr.'s I have found have a single line entry with name and # only.
