Why shouldn't you drink milk or soda when you're sick next to a cold or flu?
Answer:
Milk and dairy products cause more phlegm. With a cold you are already combat congestions so this worsens the problem. Sodas are generally aimless calories, sugar and caffeine, neither of which help boost your immune system. Better to drink sea or juices as they hydrate you better. Sport drinks, non-carbonated can be beneficial when you own a cold as they have some minerals and vitamins.
I didn't know that!
I'm not sure in the region of the soda but milk causes more mucous to be formed. The best remedy is the mature chicken soup wives tail it works because chicken soup clears out the mucous membranes. Sorry if this sounds graphic but it is scientifically and medically correct
I know milk make your throat mucus filled and can take home your nose stuffier and catch bad soar throats. Soda I don't know cuz I get sick with a terrifically high frenzy and all I could drink be Ginger Ale for I don't know how long.
I believe soda is fine ,but the milk will give you more mucus if you hold a cold or flu. BTW.Sprite or any other Lemon-Lime soda taste great when you hold the flu...to me anyways...;)
puke. thats why.
Milk is the phlem thing everybody else mentioned - as for soda it have no nutritional value and most soda's enjoy caffine which dehyrdates you and as you know you want to stay hydrated when sick.
