I found a tick on me...now what?
Do I have to bring it to the lab? Doctor? etc.

The most important thing to do is note on your calendar the date you found the tick. If you have an unexplained fever within the next two weeks let your doctor know about the tick. Sounds like you got it off before it embedded.
dude just torch the tick man. make sure its dead and get rid of the lil guy.

Bad idea! The ticks head could still be inside you because they burrow into your skin and when you pull, alot of times the head remains.next time do what my brother did, he got a sewing needle and got it hot with a lighter and burned the end of the tick (the part sticking out of your skin) but was careful not to burn it and kill it.doing that the tick un-burrowed itself. not sure how uncomfortable it is but it is worth doing!

No but to make sure you dispose of it burn it in an ashtray or cover it with Vaseline. In the future if you get another, spread
Vaseline on the underside and it will back out of your skin on its own. This is where they breathe.
I've picked 20 off me this week alone. Don't worry about it. It seems you got it off before it got embedded. Just watch the area, (yes it will itch and swell a little like a bad mosquito bite), but unless you get a red ring around the bite a few weeks from now, it's OK. It's a bad year for ticks, but it's the ones you DON'T find in time and they get engorged on your blood that you have to worry about.
