Throat pain?

I'm having slight pain while swallowing for > 6 months. My dr sent me for a upper GI and said I've moderate acid reflux.I'm taking prevacid for almost 4 months. My swallowing pain is not gone and now I'm getting sharp pain between shoulder blades, almost everyday and throughout the day, making me tough to concentrate on my work in the office. The back pain is more if I sit bending back.If I bend forward I don't feel that pain.

I'm going to see the Dr. again.Do u've any suggestions?I'm a smoker and 35 yrs. old.
