What happens if you take a medicine that you don't need?

um...lets say just painkillers such as tylenol?
lol...im just curious btw

Answer:
Depends on what it is. If it is tylenol and you stay within the recommended dosages nothing. Other stuff might not have the same effect. For instance, you never want to take high blood pressure medicine because it could kill you if you don't have high blood pressure.

PS. Tylenol effects the kidneys so don't take it if you dont need it.
You should never take any medicine that you do not need. What can happen depends greatly on what is taken. Somethings like Tylenol have been shown to cause liver problems in people when taken properly over several years. So I can't imagine taking something if you don't need it. Let's say it's Lortab and you take it when you don't need to you may devlop a dependance on the drug. Others can cause irreversable damae to you and even death. It's best to take only the medications that you need that are prescibed to you in the way they are meant to be used.
