How do u get ur smell back? (more info inside)?
Answer:
Like most of the other people answering, i too do not know the exact answer. BUT I can suggest the following.
Obviously talk to a GP. I mean there could be a number of reason why you can not smell but here are a few posibilities:
Even though you may have damaged the art of your brain to hear im assuming you may have damaged the smelling part as well. This being said this is NOT to say you may never smell. It could be that certin neural pathways are being blocked and perhaps you could ask a gp or a specialist if there are ways to retrain your brain or find a way to channel neural pathways around the blockage.
ALso im not sure how long ago this happened to you which could be a factor but if this was recent then start as soon as you can to get your smell back if possible.
Like everyone else I appologise that I can not give you a direct answer but I hope in some way that I can help... BUT the only thing i can say is to KEEP POSITIVE. I know it sounds corny but you will havea much greater chance if you keep a positive
try different scents of thing like strong scent like pnemonia
i am sorry to hear this maby u have a cold unlikely though talk to a trusted adult or consult your gp that is my advice sorry it was not a answer
ask your Dr. to refer you to a specialist to find out why you are having trouble
Loss of sense of smell is called anosmia (total loss of smell) or hyposmia (partial loss of smell) and has a number of causes one of which is head trauma.
But if you could smell when you left hospital & can't now that may not be the cause.
Best to see your dr as they can do tests to determine how much of a sense of smell you have and advise on treatment.
