How can my dd overcome her extreme aversion to patients vomiting so she can become an ex-ray tech?
Answer:
If you deliberate the problem is that she just hasn't be exposed to vomiting enough to be okay next to it, then I'd assume that tolerance would come over time.
I used to be really picky around bodily fluids, vomit, etc. However, a few years working in a nursing setting plus have 2 babies cured that out of necessity right away. :) Now nil fazes me.
Well, what does she do when she see it? I mean, as long as she can maintain quiet and not slight anyone she will be okay. Also, how often do x-ray techs see ancestors vomiting? I may be wrong but it doesn't seem resembling it'd be that common...There are drugs that you can pocket to decrease nausea and vomiting, I'm not sure if they will prescribe them for this sort of situation, but it's worth asking!
