Answer:
lay down and make yourself comfortable, close your eyes and save them closed, breath slowly in and out as you count down from 100 to 1 save your breathing going and if your mind start wandering..just run back to it and you will sleep surrounded by no time at all...
Slam your skipper against the wall, continuously.
-Sometimes that is God's style of telling you to pray
When my eyes are closed and I'm have trouble falling asleep, I try to envision a clear bubble in my mind. And I keep hold of all of my focus on this bubble, and if I start thinking almost something, that thought automatically goes contained by to the bubble and I try to throw it out and maintain my focus. This help from drifting off contained by to an endless stream of thoughts roughly speaking your day and your go. It's weird, I know, but it's my method and it works for me. A lot of those focus on their breathing, but that never works for me.
Try some chamomile tea.
Listening to soft classical music can help you to sleep. Count sheep. Drink a hot toddy. Read a book. Relax your mind. Or deem of the deep blue ocean and picture yourself relaxing under the shade of a big coconut tree as the soft side lull your heavy eyes to sleep.
turn of the computer.
If you own Tylenol PM or an antihistmine in the house, they will work. Or try chamomile tea, reheat milk, or (kinda weird) turkey or tuna. If this is happening like mad, there are some great unknown medications immediately that are not habit-forming. Like AmbienCR, Lunesta or Rezerem. But you need a doctor's prescription for those. At the drug store you can find Sominex, or a lot others next to the same ingredient. But they can be habit-forming. So they're solely for once in a while. If you hold chronic insomnia, I can help you. But that's on a together different level. That's if you can't sleep at adjectives. Like if 1-2 hours is all you procure, and you ache of tiredness every single morning of your life. Maybe basically reading this answer made you tired. Seriously! Just answer a few questions for a while, or read other people's. That should get you tired. Good luck. :)
Eat a banana prior to going to bed, it works for me, or go to wal-mart or k-mart and buy
some melatonin 3mg pills, they both work fine and they are 100% veggy's. I get through the banana and I sleep for about 7/8 hrs. Cherries are also sleep inducent, but costly.
capably just lay down contained by bed, turn the lights off, or down low, or a small wishy-washy on, and sit there, read a book, listen to some gentle relaxing music, and drift off to sleep. Remember no rock n' roll.
a partially slice of turkey and about 3 ounces of melt milk help me. they contain trypttophan which is a precursor to some chemicals that relief you sleep.

Lay in bed and concentrate on small body parts . start at the tips of your toes. Think more or less them relaxing until they feel totally relaxed after move to entire toes and do the same entry then to the bottom of your foot then your together foot. Do this slowly and move up your body thinking of each cog along the way. Pause until you perceive that part totally relaxed. Sometimes I don't grasp past the waist. IF you take to the top of your head start over. here are multiple reason why this works.
It may facilitate to isolate and tense the muscle surrounded by that part and tolerate it go COMPLETELY relaxed. The tensing give you a reference point.
