I've had a cough since november?
Answer:
I personally think you seriously need to visit the hospital. They should take the situation a bit more seriously and be able to treat you somehow. If not, try another doctor.
Go to another doctor for a second opinion.
as an asthmatic, your dr should have given you antibiotic and a steroid..if you start to run fever, head to er. if you have anebulizer you can take tx up to every 2 hrs...drs dont like to hear that, but you can..if you are doing that you should be inpt in a hospital..have they thought about allergies?

go back to the surgery and speak to a different GP, explain your concerns and tell them you are not happy with the previous diagnosis, dont suffer in silence though
Ahhh, my cousin had the exact same problem. Her cough has been going on for sevral months, just like you.
The only thing i can say is to return to your docter if the drugs he has presribed are not working and explain to him the pain that this cough is causing.
It can be pretty annoying i no, i had a awful cough at the beginning of the year!
But get it checked out by your docter again...thats the best thing for you to do :-)

use a spacer with your inhaler if you just have it by it's self you only get 20% of it if you use a spacer it gets 80% of it in so it is good to use good luck with the pain.
It sounds like you may have pleurisy. The major symptom of pleurisy is a sharp, stabbing pain towards the side and lower part of the chest. The pain may also be felt along the shoulders, neck and abdomen. Any movement involving the chest, such as breathing or coughing, will aggravate the pain, which may be accompanied by shortness of breath, a dry cough, and fever.
