Does lifting counterweight at 16 stunt growth?

i just started working out and i play basketball, so does it stunt your growth?

Answer:
I started solidity lifting at 12 (am almost 14 now) and I play b ball too. However, I erect weights that I can do at least 15 or 20 reps on, so they're not that stocky. For example, I bench 45 lbs, but I do so in 20-25 reps and 2 sets.
It can do as you do not stop growing until 21. I would support not lifting heavy weights until you finish growing.

Especially if you aim to play picnic basket ball, lifing weights could own a strain on your spine and stunt your height.
